Torx, your skin is great. i luv it so much. thanks.
but i think you should make your icons in tga (not png as now). it will help you not need to have black or carbon canvas around icons and who uses your skins can easily change the blackground to another color or a nice picture.
i had made some icons in tga, it's truely great and very fit to your skin.
thank you very much

ive tried the whole tga method but always got the pink background no matter what i tried.. I may take some time to redo them with the transparency but i need someone to walk me through what i need to do properly.

thanks!

First of all : your icons are tha bomb !

to help you with the tga:
i assume you use Photoshop so here we go

create your icon on a transparent background (you can choose this by selecting in the new file dialog box , background = transparent)

after creating your icon :
-click the select tool
-press ctrl+a
-edit >> copy Merged
-file new (transparent background)
-ctrl+v
-take a deep breath
-tap and hold the ctrl button and click in the layerspane on the square that is in front of your layer name
(this will select your icon as a whole)
-in the layers pane click the alpha tab, at the bottom of the layers pane there is an icon that allows you to create a new layer, click that one
-edit -fill- color:white
-now make sure that all layers in the alpha layers pane are visible (click the eye in front of the layer, so RGB, red, green, blue and the one you created should be visible
-file - save as - tga - make sure to click the 32 bit version, because only in the new wisbar software the 24bit version is supported

I hope i did not miss any step because i dont got a Photoshop on this computer, i can recheck my post when I come home, if my plane is not delayed that is

Hope this was usefull

thanks sosa, but im still having problems.. im using photoshop cs3
following your instructions as best as i can, saving as 24 bit still leaves it with a white background.. saving as 32bit doesnt show up at all. this crap is starting to piss me off.

edit: okay, im kinda getting somewhere now.. i followed this tutorial, it was kinda similar to yours, and im getting transparency with 32bit.. it just seems very long winded.. something that should be like 1 or 2 steps.. too time consuming.

...the most easiest thing maybe: Create your icons and save them as png with transparency. Then download Xnview(Freeware) and convert all icons in one step into tga - done!
In case you have no time send me the psds i do it for you.

If you get them to transparency could you post the pack as well? Would be great to have them since I don't have photoshop to try and edit them

Thanks
