Mobile Vista Revisited [QVGA]

This is a theme formerly done by grzegorz10 for WAD. I was disappointed to find out that WAD2 would not be able to use themes made for WAD. Since this was one of my favorite themes, I decided to remake it (with permission of course) for WAD2 and add some of the new features that WAD2 has to offer. Portrait Only!!!



You will need to download S2U2 in order for the lock button to work. Get it here.

For installation please see the readme file included.

This is now a one click install. Just click the Mobile Vista WAD2 Installer and select where you want it to go. It can be placed anywhere on your device now! For anyone who had trouble and were unable to get this to work, this is the solution! Sorry it took so long.

That's the only thing I didn't provide. You need to go into the WAD2 settings and go to the icon tab. Browse to the location where you have your icons stored. Once you connect to the internet, your icons and weather info should show up. Let me know if you need icons, I can post mine.

I would greatly appreciate comments from all users. Even if you guys think you're tired of the same old vista theme, I think you should try it out. I tried to add a lot of effects from WAD2 that weren't available in previous vista themes. It really gives it a new element that you have to see.

Thank you for porting this wonderful theme. However, i have several questions as i am new to wad. First, why are all the icons and writings disarranged. (they are all moved to one side or the other and its a pain to correct every single window). The second question is how do i make an button be covered by an opened window. (i have created a my computer button, but every time i open something in the black theme, such as control panel, the my computer icon would be on top of the window.) thank you in advance.

1) I'm not sure what would cause your icons to switch positions. Are they all displaying? Do you get a gray box where there should be an icon? If so then they are not in the right place on your storage card. I tried this on my i730 and it shows up fine.

2) You need to tap and hold on a blank spot on your screen and unlock the items on the page. Then hold down on the my computer icon and select "send to back". If you don't see an option to "send to back" or "bring to front" then you haven't unlocked the items on the main page but simply unlocked the items on one of the docks.

What are you planning to have the computer icon launch? It would be sweet to have it launch the computer dock and add some scripts for the the memory icons to launch my device for the (C Drive and storage card for the (D Drive.

And i am new to adding these themes to my phone.
So i downloaded the files you posted and added them to my storage card but i still seem to not get this to work.
is there anything else i need to get this to work.
I got the windows mobile QVGA on my T-Mobile Wing.
I could realy use the help to install this theme.

O ya 1 more thing do i need to install Wisbar Advance 2 and Wisbar Advance Desktop 2 ?

First, make sure you have WAD2 Beta and WA3 installed. You don't need WA3 for this to work, but a theme is included (and it goes really well with the whole theme). Once you've got everything downloaded, make sure the WA3 Themes folder is stored on the root of your storage card and the Mobile Vista theme folder is in the Wisbar Advance Desktop\Themes folder created in your program files by WAD2 after installation.

Next go to your theme manager, it's in start menu settings, and go to Desktop 2.x Theme and select Mobile Vista for the portrait tab. Select ok and it will load. You may need to reset for everthing to display properly. Enjoy!
